Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are an independent Diesel Repair shop located in Kenly,NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel repair and diagnostics, specifically with commercial vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the reliability and performance of our repairs. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to meet safety and operational standards. Duties Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor-trailer units, including engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Execute automotive repair tasks with precision, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Skills Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in diesel engines. Proficient in automotive diagnostics to identify issues quickly and accurately. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements. Experience with soldering techniques for electrical repairs is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Capable of transmitting information clearly within the team regarding repair progress and needs.
