Diesel/Heavy-Equipment Mechanic

Start Your Career with Fortis Energy Services We are actively recruiting for Entry-Level Diesel Mechanics. You'll gain hands-on experience working on heavy-duty diesel engines, service rigs, pumps, and fleet equipment while learning from experienced mechanics. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems Inspect equipment and identify wear, damage, or needed repairs Disassemble and reassemble components under supervision Learn to perform industry-standard inspections (API, DOT, OEM) Maintain service records using digital maintenance systems Support field repairs alongside experienced technicians Follow all safety procedures and company standards What We're Looking For Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Basic knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems Ability to safely use hand tools and shop equipment Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused Willingness to work overtime and occasional travel if needed Bonus (not required): Internship or co-op experience Welding or fabrication exposure What We Offer On-the-job training and mentorship Clear career path (Mechanic I ?
