A DIETARY AIDE

is responsible for following resident menus accurately on the tray make-up line and for the proper cleaning and sanitation of soiled dishes, pots and pans. Dietary Aides are also responsible for serving meals. You will find meaningful work in this role with the opportunity to collaborate and make a positive impact every day! !

Responsibilities:

Cleans work areas, equipment, walls, cabinets, storage areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with established procedures. Washes dishes, cookware, flatware, and trays using approved procedures. Performs food preparation tasks as assigned by the cook or supervisor. Responsible for following resident menus accurately on the tray line. Delivers food carts/prepared meals to the designated dining room and ensures that carts are returned to the kitchen. May be responsible for assisting in serving the meals to residents. Collects and removes trash and garbage as necessary. Delivers nourishments to nursing units and/or resident rooms as required.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or

GED/TASC

equivalent is preferred for Dietary Aide positions. Student Dietary Aides currently enrolled in a high school program need not have a diploma. Must be able to meet health assessment requirements, including required testing and health documentation. Ability to lift 60 pounds if necessary with the ability to sit, walk, bend, and twist.
