40 Hours/Week (Guaranteed) Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Dietary Cook to join the Nutritional Services team at Keefe Memorial Health Service District in Cheyenne Wells, CO. This is a contract opportunity ideal for candidates with prior hospital dietary experience who are comfortable working in a healthcare setting preparing meals for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts Follow dietary guidelines and standardized recipes for patient care Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating for patients and staff Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food prep areas Ensure food safety standards and infection control protocols are followed Support meal delivery and kitchen operations as needed Collaborate with dietary and healthcare teams to meet patient nutrition needs Required Qualifications Must have prior hospital dietary experience Experience in food preparation within healthcare or institutional settings Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Schedule Details 8-hour shifts: 8:00 AM•5:00 PM Monday-Friday with rotating weekends 40 hours per week guaranteed
Pay:
$26.00•$28.00 per hour
