Pay rate will Depend on experience.

Responsibilities:

Follow day-to-day menu food prep and cooking what is listed on menu Follow all physician orders for special diets like mechanical soft, puree, nutritional drinks, etc Ensures all infection control and food safety standards are met to pass regulatory inspections Daily temps on all refrigerators and freezers are obtained Daily inventory is kept up with Budget is followed for all orders Puts food truck away on Thursdays, double checks all food inventory is received and if not, the supplier is notified Order all foods for activity department Provides training for all new staff, develops orientation for new staff, coordinates biweekly schedule for staff Performs dietary evaluations every 1 year and presents them to the Administrator (First 90 days, 90 day eval.) Creating menus for the seasons (Fall-Winter/Spring-Summer) Cooking meals Serving drinks, setting tables Cleaning dining area after each meal, changing table clothes in between meals Assisting with all cooking for activities Daily Cleaning of kitchen and pantry area (Dishes, floors, etc) Attend to other duties as required by the Administrator

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED Prior Dietary experience in a Skilled Facility or Nursing Home or PCH Prior management experience preferred Ability to multitask Must be able to read, write, follow written instructions, and understand English Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other co-workers and relate well with residents.
