Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dietary Manager to lead and oversee the dietary services within our jail facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing nutritious meal plans, supervising dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and delivering exceptional nutritional care to detainees/inmates. Your leadership will foster a positive environment focused on health, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional needs and caloric count, along with special diets for those with certain food allergies or medical conditions. Supervise and mentor dietary staff, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and professionalism across the department. Manage the dietary department's budget, inventory, and procurement processes to optimize resources and control costs. Oversee meal preparation and service to ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. Oversee and train workers in safe food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate nutrition strategies aligned with overall patient care goals. Maintain accurate records of meals served, inventory levels, and sanitation logs. Requirements Proven experience in dietary management within assisted living facilities, healthcare environments, or jails. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading dietary or healthcare teams effectively. Ability to manage budgets efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards. Excellent leadership skills, ensuring a good working environment. Knowledge of regulations governing dietary services in facilities and experience ensuring compliance.
Pay:
