Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dietitian to join our healthcare team, committed to improving client health outcomes through expert nutritional care. In this vital role, you will plan and organize all meals according to proper nutritional guidelines. Manage the pitching to meet DHEC standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while working within a dynamic ministry environment. Duties Maintain a clean, pleasant and attractive environment for dining. Maintain clean equipment in kitchen and dining room area (including, but not limited to) utensils, stove, dish sanitizer, refrigerator, freezer, food preparation area, etc. Keep food warehouse refrigerators and freezers organized and ready for site inspection from DHEC and Harvest Hope or any other entity. Submit preplanned nexus in a timely manner to the Executive Director, preparing and serving well balanced meals. Responsible for preparing meals in advance for weekends and any other scheduled day off. Responsible for possibly planning or assisting with preparation of food for special events such as Donor Dinner, Founders' Day, Beach Trip, Fundraisers, etc. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining a supply of milk, bread, eggs and other staples at all times. Will monitor the Harvest Hope web site and shop for food items online and schedule pick up dates. Assess the inventory of canned goods and constantly monitor expiration dates and rotate accordingly. Responsible for all necessary food purchases, grocery shopping, grocery delivery and pantry supplies, ensuring food purchases and meal preparations are within the allowed budget. Receive food donations (perishable & non perishable) and assess how they may be worked in to the weekly meal schedule. Responsible for processing of fresh fruits and vegetables that are received as donations. Pick up food donations as needed or inform the Executive Director of donations if unavailable for pick up.
