Full Time Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Digital Training Instructor uses skills obtained through experience and/or formal training to create and provide a safe learning environment designed to engage students in digital training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement digital instructional activities to youth Use technology to promote learning and creativity Develop and execute basic computer programming and/or photography lessons as part of the enrichment program Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents and other professionals on a regular basis Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers and community Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group and/or program classification Demonstrate gains in student performance Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines and honoring schedules Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
C++, Linux+, Database (Access), Java, HTML, SQL, Visual Basic, MS Visual Studio 10, Windows OS Skill in: Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office Ability to: Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives Clearly present material to students Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner Establish and maintain effective working relationships
