  • Palmdale, CA Indotronix is seeking a skilled Dimension Control Technician 3 to join our advanced manufacturing team in Palmdale, CA.
Play a vital role in producing high-precision components for critical aircraft programs, including the F35. This is a first-shift opportunity (5AM-3:30PM, Monday-Thursday, overtime as needed) for individuals with a passion for precision tooling, hands-on fabrication, and continuous improvement in a secure, high-tech environment. About the Role As a Dimension Control Technician 3, you will be responsible for building, aligning, and inspecting jigs, fixtures, and tooling gauges to exacting standards. You'll interpret complex blueprints, utilize advanced 3D CAD tools, and work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturing excellence. This position offers the chance to expand your skills in metrology, automated equipment troubleshooting, and aircraft assembly tooling, with career progression opportunities in a dynamic aerospace setting. Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and align standard and custom jigs, fixtures, tool masters, and gauges for aircraft production
  • Interpret tool design drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to plan and execute fabrication and assembly activities
  • Design holding devices and fixture components to support precision manufacturing
  • Set up and operate optical instruments and precision measuring equipment to verify fit, tolerances, and alignment
  • Prepare shop drawings and develop operational sequences for tooling builds and repairs
  • Utilize hand tools, mills, lathes, saws, and drills for fabrication and assembly tasks
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated and mechanical equipment as needed
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment in compliance with safety protocols
  • Ensure product quality through process controls and adherence to quality procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations in both indoor and outdoor environments Required Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required, with 4+ years' experience in tooling, machining, fabrication, welding, or laser tracking
  • Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain/maintain)
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar 3D CAD systems
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes
  • Skilled in using hand tools, mills, lathes, and precision measuring equipment
  • Capable of lifting/moving objects up to 35 pounds
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving within manufacturing environments Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of metrology processes and laser tracker setup
  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems (E-Maint, Maximo)
  • Overhead crane and forklift operation certifications
  • Tool and die experience
  • Background in aircraft manufacturing assembly tooling
