Position:
Super-Natural Eats is seeking an experienced and dependable Dining Facility Manager (DFAC Manager) to oversee full food service operations at Camp Grafton Training Center in Devils Lake, North Dakota. This position is responsible for managing daily dining facility operations supporting military personnel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The DFAC Manager will oversee meal production, staffing, food safety, sanitation, inventory management, quality control, billing/accounts receivable, headcount management, customer service, and overall contract performance. The facility serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, bagged meals and field/box meals in support of military training operations. We are looking for a strong leader who can manage staff effectively, maintain high standards, communicate professionally with military leadership, and ensure uninterrupted dining facility operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage all day-to-day dining facility operations Supervise cooks, food service workers, dishwashers, and support staff Create employee schedules and maintain proper staffing levels Ensure all meals are prepared and served according to contract standards Oversee breakfast, lunch, dinner, and box meal production Maintain serving line flow and ensure food remains stocked throughout meal periods Monitor food quality, presentation, freshness, and portion control Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Conduct routine sanitation inspections and corrective actions Oversee receiving, storage, labeling, rotation, and inventory of food products Coordinate food ordering and supply management Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, serving lines, storage rooms, coolers, and equipment Ensure all equipment is properly operated and maintained Complete required reports, headcounts, logs, temperature records, and operational documentation Coordinate directly with military representatives, Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and company leadership Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of employees Handle employee accountability, discipline, and operational issues professionally Maintain a positive customer service environment for military personnel Ensure operations continue smoothly during high-volume training periods and staffing shortages
Qualifications:
3+ years of food service management experience required Experience in military dining facilities, institutional food service, corrections, healthcare, hotels, or high-volume kitchens preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Experience managing staff schedules and daily operations Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations Ability to multitask and perform under pressure Inventory and ordering experience preferred ServSafe Certification preferred Must be reliable, organized, and professional Must be able to pass military installation background requirements
