Job Description
Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a full-time Dining Services Manager!
Summary:
Oversees and supports resident meal service. Provides supervision over evening staff. Completes cooking, administrative, and cleaning duties.Essential Job Duties:
Provides direct supervision over evening staff members, administering counseling when necessary Monitors meal services to ensure a consistent high level of quality and service Serves as a cook and dining room assistant when needed, including but not limited to preparing food, setting up dining rooms, waiting on residents in the dining rooms and individual rooms, and washing dishes Cleans assigned areas and equipment nightly Ensures cooked and stored food meets acceptable temperatures Conducts inventories, communicating with Director of Dining Services to compile, place, and receive food orders Monitors supply utilization, controlling waste Maintains food/refrigeration/freezer temperature charts by collection/filing completed charts and ensure charts are available and in place for each new period Supports resident and staff meal service as needed Complies with department, facility, and governmental policies and procedures Other duties as assigned High school graduate or equivalent Previous food service experience required Previous employee management experience preferred Previous quantity food cooking experience preferred Ability to understand directions, both written and oral Ability to read and understand recipes, weights and measures Excellent communication skills Must obtain Serv-Safe or Tazewell County Health Department certification within the first 6 months of employment Basic knowledge of computer programs Must be available to work 10:30am-7:00pm four weekdays as well as every other weekend and a holiday rotationPhysical Requirements:
Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, and reaching. Lifting up to 50lbs. Pushing/Pulling up to 100lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment and chemicals. Daily exposure to potentially hazardous equipment such as knives and slicer. Works in a hot kitchen environment or in the cooler/freezer.Benefits:
