Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Staff. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence, safety, and well-being. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and empowered. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and compassionate support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining a clean environment Utilize proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices for safe resident transfers and heavy lifting tasks Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents in accordance with facility policies Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to foster a positive community atmosphere Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care planning is essential Familiarity with home health settings or hospice care enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive support Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or caregiving credentials are a plus Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively Previous experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities helps tailor personalized care approaches Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
