Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. This role involves assisting Residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. Ideal candidates will have experience in assisted living, adult foster care, skilled nursing, working with the aged, Dementia/Alzheimer's. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care services including dementia care and Alzheimer's care. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client conditions using EMR systems. Facilitate social interaction and engagement through activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional support. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Assist with medication administration as per established protocols. Engage in conflict management and behavior management strategies to ensure a positive living environment. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, is required.. Familiarity with medical terminology, first aid practices, and HIPAA regulations is required. Experience working with individuals with Dementia or other aged related conditions is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist residents physically when needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous.
