Job Description
Overview Belle Place Residential Treatment Center (Girls ages 12-17) Job Summary Belle Place RTC is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Care Workers to support adolescent girls ages 12-17 in a residential treatment setting. Direct Care Workers play a vital role in providing supervision, structure, safety, and support while promoting emotional well-being, skill development, and positive behavior. The ideal candidate is patient, trauma-informed, professional, and committed to working with youth who have experienced complex life challenges. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to residents in accordance with DFPS Minimum Standards and facility policies Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, including hygiene, grooming, house keeping and room upkeep Support and reinforce treatment goals, behavior plans, and coping strategies Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment at all times Monitor residents for changes in behavior, mood, or safety concerns and report concerns promptly Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and progress notes in required systems Transport residents to appointments, school, or approved community activities when assigned Engage residents in age-appropriate recreational, educational, and social activities Respond appropriately to crises, following de-escalation and safety protocols Follow confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional boundary standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility in accordance with health and safety standards Work collaboratively with clinical staff, supervisors, and administration Requirements High school diploma or GED (required) Experience working with youth, adolescents, or vulnerable populations preferred Ability to maintain professional boundaries and follow structured routines Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or crisis situations Valid driver's license (preferred for transportation duties) CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Commitment to trauma-informed, respectful, and youth-centered care Why Join Belle Place RTC At Belle Place RTC, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where girls can heal, grow, and thrive.
