Role Description This is an on-site role located in Halifax, MA, combining the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Adult Companion (AC). This position offers the opportunity to build a full-time caseload. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals in both home and community settings, assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, and encouraging meaningful community engagement. Responsibilities Provide personalized, one-on-one support in home and community settings. Assist individuals with daily living activities, including errands, appointments, and community outings. Provide reliable transportation to support access to services, social activities, and essential appointments. Support individuals in building life skills, confidence, and independence. Assist with budgeting, household management, and accessing community resources such as housing and government assistance programs. Encourage participation in social and recreational activities to promote community integration and connection. Offer compassionate companionship, active listening, and emotional support. Collaborate with individuals to implement personalized support strategies aligned with their goals and interests. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily progress notes. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) WITH at least 2 years of relevant community-based experience. Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable, well-maintained personal vehicle that is suitable for transporting individuals. Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities. Must be willing to undergo a background check, provide a driving record, complete a health screening, and submit any required onboarding documentation. CPR/First Aid certification is required but may be acquired during onboarding process. Must have availability during Monday-Friday stand business hours. No overnight shifts available.
