Direct Support Professional (Babylon)_

Direct Support Professionals play a vital, hands-on role supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Autism. You'll build genuine connections while providing guidance, and personalized support based on person-centered habilitation plans tailored to each individual's goals and strengths. As a DSP, you help program participants grow in confidence and independence by supporting daily living activities, teaching independent living skills, encouraging social development, promoting health and wellness, and helping them actively engage in their communities. Shifts available 40 hours Wed-Fri 3p-11p ; Sat & Sun 4p-11p 40 hours per week Sat - Wed 3-11 30hr Overnight Thurs-Sat 11p-9a 20hr Saturday & Sunday 7a-5p 32hr Thurs-Sun 3p-11p and more!

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience assisting persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Autism HAVE TO be comfortable working with behaviors Ability to support people with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, showering and feeding Successfully complete the medication administration (AMAP) course and annual recertification Excellent verbal and written communications skills Ability to learn how to document services electronically Valid Driver's License required Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide ongoing oversight to people living in the residence Implement Person Centered Residential Habilitation Plans Provide training and support for each person in accordance with the individual personalized program plan Have scheduling flexibility; may be required to work beyond the normal shift Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices
