Direct Support Professional (DSP) Sunset Support Services - Ebensburg, PA Sunset Support Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DSPs play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities by helping them build independence, confidence, and everyday life skills in a safe and positive environment. As a DSP, you will assist individuals with daily living activities including meal preparation, household tasks, personal care, medication administration, transportation, recreational activities, and community involvement. You will also help individuals work toward personal goals, encourage decision-making and independence, and provide emotional support tailored to each person's unique needs. Our DSPs create meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact in the lives of the individuals we serve. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living skills and personal goals Support community integration and recreational activities Help maintain a clean, safe, and positive living environment Assist with meal preparation, budgeting, and household chores Monitor health and safety needs and report concerns appropriately Complete daily documentation and communication logs Follow individual support plans, policies, and procedures Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license preferred unless otherwise approved Ability to pass required background checks and screenings Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude Willingness to complete required trainings including CPR, First Aid, and medication administration Why Join Sunset Support Services?
