Position Summary As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential daily care, emotional support, and community-based assistance in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. DSPs play a key role in enhancing quality of life while promoting independence, personal growth, and well-being. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, and Hoyer lift transfers when needed Monitor and document health conditions, behavioral changes, and daily progress accurately Assist with medication administration in accordance with company policies and care plans Prepare nutritious meals while supporting individual dietary and nutritional requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Follow individualized care plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism spectrum disorders, hospice care needs, or other specialized support requirements Encourage social interaction, recreational activities, and community participation Uphold HIPAA standards and maintain strict confidentiality Collaborate effectively with supervisors, nurses, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care Qualifications Previous experience in direct care, group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings preferred CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire Knowledge of developmental disabilities, dementia care, and health monitoring is a plus Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Professional, patient, compassionate, and reliable demeanor Why Join Our Team?
