Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)? Brown County Developmental Services, Inc. (BCDS) is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our amazing team! BCDS is hiring for a full time and part time positions.

DSP Residential hours:

Full- time schedule: Monday through Friday 7a.m. to 3p.m.

Part-time open shifts options:

Schedule option 1: Sunday 8am to 8pm, Tuesday 4p-8p, Wednesday 4p-9p, Friday 4pm-8pm, Saturday 5pm-8pm or every other Saturday 11am -8:30pm. Schedule option 2: Monday 4pm-9pm, Tuesday 3pm-9p, Wednesday 4pm-8pm, Friday 2:30pm-8:30pm These positions are responsible for assisting adults with IDD to work and live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living including: laundry , toileting, meal planning, meal preparation , eating , bathing, shopping, medication administration, activities in the community and at work etc. Requirements for all positions Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a BCDS vehicle Caregiving experience preferred but not required Have the ability to physically assist individuals moving to/from a wheelchair, to/from bed or a chair. Have the ability to physically lift items without restrictions Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently Must have a valid driver's license Proven work history Must have the ability to work in a team environment Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Must be able to pass background checks and pre-employment drug test

Additional Benefits:

Annual raises, additional pay per hour for working eveings, weekends and double pay on holidays, Paid time off starts accruing after 90 days of employment. Aflac benefits (short term disability, hospitalization, vision, life insurance, etc.) starts after 90 days of employment. Health and Dental insurance company pays 85% of the premiums starting after 60 days of employment (must be working at least 30 hours per week).
