Saturday & Sunday 7am - 3pm Job Overview Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services , is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Emerson group home supporting individuals with disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in helping individuals live meaningful, independent lives while ensuring their safety and well-being during daytime hours. Our Mission To achieve full societal participation for all people with disabilities. Responsibilities Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on support, guidance, and encouragement to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting and teaching skills related to: Daily living (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene) Health and wellness (medication support, healthy living) Community involvement (shopping, recreation, transportation) Social development (communication, coping skills, friendships) Budgeting and money management Promoting independence, dignity, and choice You'll make a meaningful difference by helping individuals build confidence, life skills, and autonomy. Qualifications Must be 20 years or older High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability to pass: State & Federal criminal background checks Drug screening Pre-employment physical and PPD Willingness to complete all required orientation and training Why Work for Advancing Opportunities?
