Job Summary We are seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our residential team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care and support to residents with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities and autism. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive, empowering environment where residents feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and social interactions Support communication efforts using skills such as American Sign Language or other methods tailored to individual needs Collect data on resident progress, behaviors, and health status to inform care plans Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities Drive residents to community outings, appointments, or activities safely and responsibly Engage in caregiving tasks that foster independence, safety, and well-being within the home environment Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health needs is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills and the ability to connect empathetically with residents of all ages Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for transportation responsibilities Familiarity with assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and data collection processes Home & community care experience is a plus; willingness to learn new skills is essential Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic residential setting Join us at Ambiria to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities!
