Job Description

Make a Difference Every Day As a Direct Support Professional, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives. You will provide hands-on support in a residential setting, helping individuals build daily living skills, participate in their community, and achieve their personal goals. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to empower others, build relationships, and make a real impact every day. What You Will Do Support and Empower Individuals Assist with daily living skills such as personal care, hygiene, cooking, and household routines Encourage independence, social development, and community involvement Promote dignity, choice, and respect in all interactions Ensure Health, Safety, and Well-Being Follow policies to ensure individuals' health, safety, and protection Administer medications and treatments as trained and certified Monitor and report changes in health or behavior Assist with medical appointments and transportation Provide Quality Care and Maintain a Safe Home Follow individualized service plans and complete required documentation Maintain confidentiality and accurate records Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and daily routines Support participation in activities, appointments, and community outings Qualifications Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid New York State Driver's License Ability to drive an agency vehicle Ability to obtain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Key Qualities Compassionate, dependable, and respectful Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and responsibly Why Join Us Meaningful work that changes lives Paid training and career development opportunities Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement $1,000 sign on bonus!
