Their primary focus is to ensure that the medical needs of assigned residents are met, under direction of the Residential Coordinator (RC) and house nurse (RN). He/she is responsible for communicating all medical needs and information in a timely manner to the RC and RN. Foggintown is an 11-bed residence set back from the road in a quiet residential neighborhood in Brewster, NY. We are conveniently located near walking trails, restaurants, and shopping areas. The individuals who live here are a mixed group of young adults and older folks who enjoy a combination of quiet relaxation and laid-back outings. Each has a unique personality and their own way of communicating and forming relationships. Most have lived together for many years and feel like a family, but they welcome new, friendly faces. They enjoy personal attention and many benefit from hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and daily living skills. Foggintown is a great place to work if you enjoy helping people with different abilities. A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in the DD field preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. An acceptable NYS driver's license is a must. Medication Administration certification must be obtained within first 90 days and be continually maintained. Knowledge of medical terminology medical background a plus.
