Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Directional Drill Locator (HDD Locator) to join a growing telecom and underground construction team. This role is part of a 3-man drill crew focused on underground fiber and utility installation. You will work directly with the drill operator to ensure accurate bore paths, safe operations, and efficient production. We are building a high-performance team and are looking for individuals who take pride in clean work, communication, and getting the job done right. Follow OSHA safety standards and company protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct routine inspections of machinery like Caterpillar equipment and forklifts, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with project managers, construction crews, and safety personnel to coordinate daily activities and troubleshoot technical issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as HDD drills, excavators, forklifts, water trucks, and tankers within construction or utility environments. Mechanical knowledge related to pipeline installation, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and underground utility locating techniques. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety procedures relevant to construction sites. Prior experience working on pipeline projects or in oil & gas industries is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, or blueprints related to underground utilities. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
