Anchored in a collaborative Quality and Patient Safety program, the Director Clinical Quality and Risk Management will shape an integrated Quality Assurance and Compliance service line that spans safety event management, performance improvement, accreditation readiness, and risk mitigation; the setting is a premier, independent Critical Access Hospital serving the greater Northeast Oregon region, backed by national top-tier rural care recognition, state-of-the-art facilities, a wide array of specialized clinics, and a highly accessible Mobile Wellness Unit, all operating within a 25 bed critical access hospital that delivers the right-sized agility to turn great ideas into everyday best practice.
Reporting to an executive leader such as a Vice President of Quality or the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director Quality Control is supported by analysts, infection prevention professionals, risk and compliance specialists, and clinical educators, and collaborates daily with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team across ED, ICU, surgical services, ambulatory clinics, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, and social work; the Director Quality Assurance will champion survey readiness (CMS, Joint Commission), drive RCA and FMEA, streamline OPPE/FPPE and peer review, reduce readmissions and HAIs through antimicrobial stewardship and sepsis bundles, optimize patient experience, standardize policy management, and leverage clinical decision support to sustain high reliability and frontline-driven improvement.
