Job Description

The Division of Pulmonary, and Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center has a stellar history in lung disease, clinical care, and research. Excellence in respiratory and critical care, research and teaching is the sine qua non for an outstanding Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The Division is in the process of attracting clinicians and researchers of the highest quality to develop and promote translational clinical programs that bring personalized, cutting-edge approaches to patients with respiratory disease and critical illness. These efforts will attract residents of Manhattan and the Tri-State area to seek out specialized outpatient care from clinical leaders at Mount Sinai and to seek out Mount Sinai's inpatient service for multidisciplinary management of pulmonary disease, pulmonary hypertension, and critical illness. As a Faculty member of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, you will be expected to provide the best quality of care for our patients and to contribute to the Division's research, clinical and training programs. In your clinical roles as a Pulmonary Hypertension specialist and Critical Care physician in the Division, you will be expected to provide outstanding, state of the art therapy to our patients. Your role will also include teaching students and trainees the concepts of pulmonary and critical care physiology and medicine, and where appropriate, mentoring these individuals in the art and science of medicine. In support of the Division's Mission Statement, an aspect of the care you provide will be to educate our patients about cutting edge treatments for critical care, deepening their understanding, and allowing them the freedom to seek appropriate care and treatment as needed. The Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) at Mount Sinai Health System is one of the nation's leading Critical Care Organizations and hosts one of the largest Critical Care Training Programs in North America. ICCM oversees all aspects of critical care within the Health System, including clinical, operational, research, and educational endeavors. Attracting an array of Intensivists and Researchers from diverse clinical backgrounds, ICCM fosters collaboration to meet the goals of delivering exceptional patient care and advancing critical care as a discipline. As an ICCM Intensivist, you will provide top-tier critical care across the Mount Sinai Health System, spanning both ICU environments and broader hospital services. Simultaneously, as a faculty member, you will teach, mentor, and empower the next generation of critical care professionals and develop innovative research initiatives. Your dedication to excellence will be the driving force behind our mission of delivering outstanding patient care in critical care medicine. Compensation range from 350K to 450K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
