• Job Description This position helps to recruit and retain Asian American students and diverse students at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The Director of Asian American and Multicultural Affairs serves as a point person on issues and concerns, coordinates programs, provides direct services and executes events for students of color. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Minimum of two years (2) experience working with community-based organizations. Preferred Qualification Master's Degree. ground working with Asian American students in higher education. Experience assisting in developing social-cultural programs with emphasis on students of color. Experience creating and maintaining reports. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Experience using multicultural and interpersonal skills to work effectively across cultures. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment. Other Requirements Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the University. The policy statements address the school's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security. It is expected that the employee maintains the ability to pass applicable background check through out employment.
