Director of Children and Youth Ministries Northgate United Methodist Church - 5.0 Irving, TX Job Details Part-time $1,400 - $1,500 a month 1 hour ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification ServSafe Program development Working with children First Aid Certification Full Job Description Job Overview The Director of Children and Youth Ministries will create, develop, plan, coordinate, supervise, implement, and conduct children's and youth ministries to help further the spiritual life and faith of the church. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for mentoring, and a deep commitment to fostering faith-based development through innovative activities, and community outreach. Duties Be present on Sunday mornings during Sunday School and worship service. Be available for special children/youth functions at the church durning the month of December (Christmas play, etc.), during Easter (Easter Egg Hunt and the Holy Week and Easter functions), and during Vacation Bible School. Recruit new children and youth. Develop relationships with and interact with local school counselors and explore opportunities to participate with local school programs. Explore opportunities to initiate or participate in children/youth/family programs in the neighborhood surrounding the church. Develop, plan, coordinate and implement seasonal, summer, and long-term programs, including fellowship opportunities , mission trips, and camps. Experience Experience working with children and/or youth. Ability to work independently and prioritize work. Must provide personal and professional references. Bi-lingual desirable, but not mandatory. Musical skills desirable, but not mandatory. Tech skills/Social media savvy. Other Requirements Current CPR and First Aid Certification is required. (The church will provide training when necessary.) Must pass a criminal background check and complete MinistrySafe certification. Dependability and promptness a must.
Pay:
