We support a diverse clientele across various sectors, including healthcare, entertainment, law, finance, insurance, real estate, and government.Director of Finance Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business objectives. Advise the CEO and executive team on financial matters, risks, and opportunities. Lead long-range planning, scenario modeling, and capital allocation. Financial Reporting & Analysis Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Translate financial data into clear insights for leadership, clients, and stakeholders. Analyze trends, variances, and KPIs; surface what matters most. Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A Own the annual budget and rolling forecast cycles. Build financial models supporting pricing, strategic initiatives, and capital decisions. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital. Accounting Operations & Controls Oversee AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations. Ensure timely, accurate month-end and year-end close. Establish and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and audit-ready records. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Manage relationships with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors; lead the annual audit. Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks. Team Leadership & Client Accounts Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting team. Set performance standards and develop talent as the organization grows. Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal departments; identify opportunities to improve service delivery. Systems & Process Improvement Optimize the finance technology stack (ERP, accounting, FP&A, payroll). Lead automation and process improvements that scale with the business. Stay current on accounting standards, tax law, and finance best practices. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, HR, Sales, and leadership on planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Provide financial guidance on hiring, vendor contracts, and capital expenditures. Support onboarding of new clients and coordinate handoffs across bookkeeping, accounting, and tax. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3+ in a leadership role. Deep expertise in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and internal controls. Strong working knowledge of GAAP and applicable tax regulations. Proven track record building and developing finance teams. Advanced proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and financial modeling in Excel. Exceptional communication skills; able to explain financial information clearly to non-financial audiences. Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and ability to balance strategy with operational detail. High integrity and sound judgment with confidential information. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a multi-entity, multi-client, or high-growth environment. Experience supporting M&A, fundraising, or audits. Prior experience working with boards, investors, or lenders.Benefits:
