Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Golf Course Maintenance to lead and oversee all aspects of golf course upkeep, ensuring exceptional playing conditions and aesthetic appeal. This leadership role demands a passionate professional with a keen eye for landscape maintenance, horticulture, and turf management. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence through strategic planning, team supervision, and innovative maintenance practices. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs focused on turf health, landscaping, irrigation, tree care, and overall course aesthetics. Supervise and lead a team of groundskeepers, horticulturists, and maintenance staff to ensure high standards of lawn care, gardening, and landscape management. Oversee construction projects related to course improvements or renovations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use efficiency while maintaining lush playing surfaces. Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing repair or enhancement; coordinate with contractors for specialized landscaping or construction work. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and environmental compliance. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for fertilizer, chemical use, and pest control. Recruit, train, manage, and develop staff while fostering a safe, positive, and high-performance work environment. Experience • Experience managing a golf course required. • College or university program certificate or degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of turf management, lawn care techniques, horticulture practices, and tree care. Hands-on experience with irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and landscaping design. Strong background in construction projects related to outdoor environments or sports facilities. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Familiarity with maintenance equipment, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
