The Director of Marketing & Communications serves as a key partner to Club leadership, helping translate operational priorities into clear, polished, and engaging member-facing communications while ensuring consistency in brand, tone, and experience across all platforms. What You'll Do Lead and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy that supports member engagement, participation, and overall Club experience. Own the Club's communications calendar and ensure timely, accurate, and polished communications regarding programs, events, policies, and operations. Lead and develop staff and/or vendors supporting design, content, photography, and digital updates; set priorities and ensure quality standards. Write, edit, and produce weekly member communications, tournament/event promotions, seasonal campaigns, and leadership messaging. Maintain and protect brand standards across email, website, social media, print materials, digital displays, and on-property signage. Partner closely with department leaders to translate operational initiatives into effective member communications and promotional strategies. Manage website and member communication platforms while coordinating with IT partners and external vendors to maintain current, user-friendly content. Lead social media strategy and content development aligned with the Club's brand standards, culture, and privacy expectations. Oversee creation and production of newsletters, flyers, signage, and promotional materials with consistent design and tone. Support membership and business development initiatives through marketing collateral, prospect communications, and storytelling. Analyze engagement metrics across email, web, and social channels and provide recommendations to leadership based on performance insights. Manage departmental budget, vendor relationships, photography/content resources, and related marketing partnerships. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience. 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing and communications, preferably within private clubs, hospitality, luxury, lifestyle, or member-driven organizations. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and situations. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Experience managing digital communication channels including websites, email marketing platforms, social media, and engagement analytics. Professional presence with strong interpersonal skills, discretion, sound judgment, and a member-first mindset. Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive communications while maintaining member trust and upholding the Club's culture, standards, and reputation. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build trusted relationships with leadership, managers, and external partners. Preferred Qualifications Experience within a private club environment and strong understanding of member expectations and service culture. Familiarity with member communication platforms such as Clubessential, MembersFirst, Jonas, ForeTees, or similar systems. Experience promoting tournaments, dining experiences, family programming, wellness initiatives, and private events. Photography, graphic design, video, or creative content oversight experience is a plus. Success in This Role Looks Like Members receive timely, polished, and engaging communications that improve awareness, participation, and overall satisfaction. The Club's brand, tone, and voice remain consistent across departments and communication channels. Marketing and communication projects are executed efficiently with strong collaboration, smooth approvals, and reliable vendor coordination. Leadership and department teams view this role as a trusted strategic partner and resource. Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Annual base compensation of $165,000 - $195,000, paid weekly Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Disability & Life Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Complimentary meals and parking Working Conditions This position is primarily on-site and requires visibility throughout Club operations and events. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is periodically required to support Club activities, member events, and time-sensitive communications. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs. may be required.
