Director of Nursing (DON) - RN Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation | Virginia, Illinois This summer is the perfect time for a fresh leadership opportunity. Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team and continue building on our strong foundation of quality care. Position Overview The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and daily operations of the Nursing Department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations. We are looking for a leader who can inspire teams, strengthen clinical outcomes, and create a positive environment for both residents and staff. Required Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills Previous leadership and management experience Ability to mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily operations of the Nursing Department Lead, supervise, and support clinical staff Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance Ensure high standards of resident care and clinical outcomes Build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff Assist with recruiting, staffing, scheduling, and retention efforts Monitor departmental budgets, supplies, and expense management Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and compassion Compensation & Incentives Competitive salary negotiable based on experience $10,000 Sign-On Bonus paid monthly over 12 months Benefits BCBS Group Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Join Our Leadership Team A Director of Nursing role is both rewarding and impactful, offering the opportunity to lead a dedicated team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents every day.
