Director of Nursing - RN

The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality of care for the residents and creating/supporting a nursing team of high quality individuals focused on the same.

Some Duties Include:

Respect all resident rights, including the confidentiality of resident care information. Assist the Medical Director and individual attending physicians in assessing each resident and implementing a plan of care. Understand and implement the plan of care and assess resident needs with the MDS. Monitor patient care plans for relevancy, accuracy, and updates. Input medical information into the computer using the Master Chart program. Plan for the care of each resident upon discharge by working with the physician, family, social services department, and other health-related agencies as appropriate. Respect all resident rights, including the confidentiality of resident care information. Report immediately to the Administrator and to the proper legal authorities if you have reason to believe a resident has been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, or been a victim of theft of their personal property. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, and love, giving the resident the quality of service you would want to receive personally. Skills, Education and Experience Minimum two (2) years experience as a DON/Nursing Management in a Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred. Associates or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing in state employed
