Director of Nursing Services

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Director of Nursing Services to lead and oversee all nursing operations within our nursing home, with a focus on behavioral health. Duties Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing departments, including assisted living, nursing home, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to residents' individual needs, ensuring high-quality care delivery aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. Supervise nurse management staff and direct nursing teams, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee the management of medical records and documentation review to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation, reporting, and data analysis. Ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines, state licensing standards, and other regulatory bodies to maintain facility accreditation. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes through effective care coordination and communication. Lead shift management activities, including staffing schedules, resource allocation, and emergency response planning. Stay current with advances in physiology and anatomy knowledge to inform clinical decision-making and staff training initiatives. Promote a culture of safety by implementing policies that uphold HIPAA standards and protect residents' medical information. Qualifications Proven experience in nursing administration within nursing homes, or similar healthcare environments. Extensive background in nurse management with supervising experience across multidisciplinary teams. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and care plan development. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical records management tools. In-depth understanding of Medicare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, residents' families, regulatory agencies, and healthcare partners. Ability to review clinical documentation thoroughly while maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Knowledge of hospice care principles, home health services, acute care practices, and resident-centered approaches. Pay:

$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
