Summary/Objective; The Director of Phelps Medical Group is responsible for overseeing the daily operations including hiring and training of all rural health clinic employees and collaborating with all customer types including patients, visitors and healthcare professionals. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
Essential Functions:
Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: 1. Knowledgeable in all aspects of medical office operations including appointment scheduling and medical records maintenance. Ensures orientation and continued education and training is provided to all Phelps Medical Group teammates. 2. Develops, implements and maintains processes and procedures for the operation of the practice/rural health clinic. 3. Hires and facilitates training and education programs for all employees. 4. Utilizes rounding software for all clinic employees on a monthly basis, logs conversations and tracks progress. 5. Coordinates educational opportunities for employees in respective areas of responsibility 6. Schedules all clinic employees and day-to-day operations, reviews all requests for time off to ensure appropriate staffing levels 7. Establishes realistic, innovative departmental objectives and measurable goals and participates in leadership meetings and trainings. 8. Works with the Service Pillar to implement patient engagement programs and initiatives. 9. Prepares annual departmental budgets for the rural health clinic 10. Prepares monthly clinic meeting agendas and minutes. 11. Works with Fiscal and Revenue Cycle Directors to understand/monitor current financial reports and trends to continually strive for efficiency and effectiveness. 12. Complies with all State and Federal regulation for rural health clinics. 13. Attends monthly department leader meetings 14. Communicates positively, properly and transparently with the team
Supervisory Responsibility:
1. Directly supervises Providers and nursing staff in PMG Clinic.
Skills and Experience:
Proven success in clinical operations; Must possess the vision for growth; Proficient in all Microsoft application; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; Proven leadership and employee engagement skills; Effective communication and negotiation skills; Strong business acumen; and, Detail-oriented.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:
1. Bachelor of Science/Associates degree in business, or similar field preferred; or, equivalent work experience. 2. 5+ years of management experience required, clinical experience preferred. 3. Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional (must obtain within 1 years).
