Director of Preschool

Sunbeams Preschool is a ministry of Leipsic Methodist Church and has a long and rich history. The preschool offers a variety of classes for 3 and 4-year-olds including a full day program as well as a half-day. The program is designed to nurture children and help them grow academically and spiritually. We are looking for a candidate that is creative, experienced in leadership, and has an interest in seeing children grow academically and socially with an emphasis on the Christian faith. Sunbeams Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio, so a degree is preferred.

General job responsibilities include:

Works alongside church staff to integrate the preschool as a ministry and mission of the congregation. Leipsic Methodist Church's vision is to be a Jesus-filled connected community by being passionate disciples who share the love of Jesus with others. Oversees and coordinates lesson planning between all the classes. Purchases all equipment and supplies to meet program needs. Facilitates communication between the preschool and parents. Has administrative oversight making sure the preschool fulfills all state licensing requirements. Has financial oversight of the program Prepares school calendar which coincides with the public-school calendar. Works with preschool advisory team in the following areas: 1. Evaluating Program, 2. Developing Curriculum, 3. Setting Tuition Rates, 4. Issuing Scholarships, 5. Keeping the Preschool in Alignment with the Vision and Mission of Leipsic Methodist Church, 6. Hiring Teachers and Staff Conducts annual reviews and evaluates compensation. Provides opportunities to keep children engaged with learning and help them connect to the church.

$35,000-$40,000 per year, depending upon experience
