The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses, the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12). Position Overview Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Director of Pupil Personnel Services for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight for all special education programs and student support systems within the district. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, supervises specialized staff, manages budgets and grant funding, and promotes equitable, high-quality services for all students. The Director also supports building administrators in implementing comprehensive systems of student support and oversees key academic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise and evaluate: Special Education Teachers Interventionists Related Service Providers Mental Health Staff (e.g., school psychologists, social workers, counselors as applicable) Pupil Services Clerical Staff Counseling Clerical StaffCSE/CPSE
Chairpersons (1 part-time TOSA, 1 Psychologist) Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to staff to ensure effective service delivery, billing, and compliance. Foster collaboration among general education, special education, and student support teams. Program Oversight Oversee all special education programming, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student support systems, including: Student Support Teams (SST) Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Support building administrators in addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student needs. Budget & Grants Management Develop, manage, and monitor the special education budget. Oversee and ensure compliance for federal and state grants, including but not limited to: IDEA 611 and 619 Title Grants Other assigned funding sources Ensure appropriate allocation and reporting of funds to maximize program effectiveness. Compliance & Accountability Ensure district compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to special education and student services. Oversee IEP processes, due process requirements, and state reporting. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and monitoring. Program Coordination Oversee and/or coordinate implementation of key academic and support initiatives, including: AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Early College programs Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways Tutoring McKinney Vinto Ensure these programs align with district goals and support diverse learner needs. Collaboration & Communication Serve as a liaison between the district, families, community agencies, and external partners. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding program goals, student progress, and compliance matters. Participate in district leadership teams and strategic planning efforts. Job Qualifications Qualifications Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field. Valid administrative certification. Extensive experience in special education and student support services. Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and program leadership. Knowledge of federal and state laws related to special education and grants management. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing federal grants (IDEA, Title programs). Background in MTSS implementation and systems-level leadership. Familiarity with AVID, Early College, and CTE programs. Occasional evening meetings and events required. Compensation Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and district guidelines.
