Director of Rehab (COTA/PTA) - Travel/Contract - Up to $2,250/Week

The Director of Rehabilitation (COTA/PTA) leads the rehab department for a 13‑week travel assignment in Spearfish, South Dakota. This role manages therapy staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives patient outcomes while offering competitive weekly pay up to $2,250.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department. Lead and support therapy staff including PTAs, COTAs, and therapists. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations. Manage productivity standards and departmental performance. Coordinate patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams. Monitor documentation accuracy and timely completion. Assist with scheduling, staffing, and therapy program development. Maintain high standards for patient outcomes and customer satisfaction. Provide mentorship and leadership to rehabilitation staff. Support census development and program growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

Active South Dakota PTA or COTA license in good standing Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation leadership experience Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and rehab regulations Excellent communication and organizational skills Proven leadership and team management abilities Associate Degree from an accredited PTA or COTA program Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred Skills:

Previous Director of Rehabilitation experience strongly preferred Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
