About the Job We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead growth efforts for a fast-paced, science-driven organization supporting preclinical drug discovery. This is a high-impact role for a proven sales leader who knows where the opportunities are-and how to win them. This position requires experience working with rodent and/or non-human primate (NHP) models or the ability to confidently and credibly discuss these models with scientific clients. Role Description Are you deeply connected in the Boston/Cambridge biotech ecosystem and driven to turn relationships into revenue? We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead growth efforts for a fast-paced, science-driven organization supporting preclinical drug discovery. This is a high-impact role for a proven sales leader who knows where the opportunities are-and how to win them. You won't inherit a book of business-you'll build it. Key Responsibilities Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic, hands-on business development Leverage your network across Boston/Cambridge biotech and pharma to generate new opportunities Identify, pursue, and close high-value partnerships and client engagements Develop tailored, science-driven proposals that clearly differentiate our capabilities Build and manage a robust, accurate sales pipeline with clear forecasting and KPIs Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Finance to align strategy, resources, and delivery Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs Implement scalable processes that create predictable, repeatable revenue growth Impact of This Role Direct visibility and partnership with senior leadership Opportunity to shape and scale business development strategy Work alongside a collaborative, science-focused team Make a meaningful impact by helping bring new therapies closer to patients Qualifications This role is not for someone learning the market-you already own your space. 10+ years of business development experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO environments Strong, active network within Boston and Cambridge life sciences companies Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets Deep understanding of preclinical and/or clinical drug development Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling business opportunities Executive presence with strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strategic thinker with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and urgency Education Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline required; advanced degree preferred Who You Are You're known in the industry.
