POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Quality and Safety provides operational leadership and strategic direction for clinical quality, patient safety, reliability, clinical education, and patient experience for the Health First Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), Community Health Services (CHS) division. The Director of Quality and Safety oversees and directs the development, execution, and sustainability of CHS's quality and outcomes initiatives, ensuring that evidence-based practices, regulatory compliance, performance measurement, and continuous improvement are consistently applied across the division. The Director of Quality and Safety collaborates closely with operational and administrative leadership teams to develop, implement, and maintain quality and safety programs that reinforce patient care that is supportive, safe, and effective.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides leadership for CHS clinical quality, safety, reliability, education, and experience programs, overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality and safety strategy for CHS, aligned with IDN goals, and regulatory requirements. Sponsors and leads clinical quality improvement, and patient safety strategies and initiatives using reliable data, evidence-based practices, and performance advancement methodologies to minimize variation, and increase positive outcomes. Works with CHS executive and operational leadership teams, to ensure regulatory readiness and accountability for compliance activities across CHS in accordance with state, federal, regulatory body, and IDN requirements. Directs CHS clinical education program, and competency strategies to verify all clinical practice is safe and standardized, in accordance with IDN and regulatory expectations. Oversees the development and establishment of governance structures through reporting cadence, and accountability for the quality, safety, and experience metrics across CHS. Partners with medical leadership in supporting peer quality processes, review trends and outliers, and verify the effectiveness of corrective action plans are implemented and withheld. Delivers leadership and collaborates with operational leadership teams, and Medical Directors to develop and implement quality measures for licensed practitioners to align with value-based incentives in support of HFMG's Compensation Formulas. Collaborates with Enterprise Risk Management, Patient Experience, Human Resources (HR), and operational leadership teams to address and resolve system risks and evaluate opportunities for improvement in workflows and processes.LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES

Display strong strategic and financial acumen in areas of responsibility in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. Work ExperienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Quality, or a relevant field.Work Experience:
Five (5) years' progressive leadership experience in healthcare quality, safety, or performance improvement.Licensure:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida.Certification:
None Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Excellent leadership skills including developing vision and objectives, facilitating work plans, assembling team members with requisite skills. Proven ability and track record for managing to desired outcomes in a timely manner. Expertise with implementing programs, managing people and projects across multiple skills and departments in a highly matrixed environment. Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, business writing and presentation skills Computer skills mandatory for software applications and clinical systems, databases and systems. Understanding of accreditation requirements and experience successfully guiding standards compliance within healthcare organizations. Global understanding of organizational requirements, development strategies and technological support for successful performance improvement. Demonstrated ability to successfully guide team process.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Prior ambulatory, or provider practice quality or safety leadership experience.Certification:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Certified Professional In Patient Safety (CPPS).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. Long periods of computer time or at workstation. Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined.
