Duties Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or assembling ingredients to support culinary staff. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service. Help with general kitchen cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and sanitizing surfaces to meet health standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow during busy service times and special events. Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards across all tasks. Requirements Prior experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, catering services, or banquet facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety regulations related to dishwashing and kitchen sanitation. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy trays or containers. Experience with bussing tables or assisting in food preparation is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with health standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations. Previous hospitality or culinary experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
