Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed. Support the catering and banquet teams by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for events. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely turnover of dishes during busy service periods. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene compliance. Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating hospitality-focused behavior and supporting colleagues. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key. Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads of dishes or supplies. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization. Experience with bussing tables, food preparation, or banquet service is a plus. Knowledge of kitchen operations or hotel experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory. A positive attitude and eagerness to support the team in delivering excellent hospitality services.
