Dishwasher

Overview A Dishwasher is responsible for providing guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plates, glassware and kitchen equipment. Duties include ensuring overall cleanliness of kitchen and assisting with prep and general kitchen work while upholding safety and sanitation policies. Must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift at least 25 pounds and an ideal candidate is willing to learn more about kitchen and food prep. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness. Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients to support chefs and kitchen staff. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware and utensils are ready and spotless for service. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, floors, and storage areas to promote a safe and hygienic environment. Collaborate with food service teams to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during busy service hours. Follow proper food handling procedures and safety guidelines at all times to ensure compliance with health regulations. Help with general kitchen cleaning duties including trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and equipment maintenance. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; familiarity with kitchen operations is a plus. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff. Experience with bussing tables or assisting in food preparation is advantageous. Previous banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not required. A genuine interest in hospitality and culinary environments that foster teamwork and high standards.
