Little River Bread Co. About the Role We are looking for a dependable, hard-working dishwasher and food prep team member to support daily bakery operations. This position includes dishwashing, cleaning, food prep, helping with retail opening, retail sandwich production, baking support, and finishing baked goods. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, comfortable staying busy, and willing to help wherever needed in a small bakery environment. A passion for quality food, naturally made products, locally produced ingredients, and sourdough is a strong plus. Responsibilities Wash dishes, trays, utensils, pans, and bakery equipment Keep the dish area clean, organized, and sanitary Assist with daily food prep tasks Help with retail opening, including setting up displays, packaging products, and preparing the front counter Support retail sandwich production during service Assist with baking tasks as needed, including loading, moving, or organizing product Help finish baked goods, including glazing, topping, packaging, and preparing items for sale Restock ingredients, packaging, and retail supplies Sweep, mop, wipe surfaces, take out trash, and assist with general cleaning Follow food safety, sanitation, and time/temperature control procedures Communicate clearly with team members and ask questions when needed Qualifications Prior food service, dishwashing, food prep, or bakery experience preferred but not required Interest in quality food, natural ingredients, locally produced food, and sourdough is a plus Weekend availability is mandatory Must be available to work during our regular work week of Wednesday through Sunday Able to work early shifts when needed, including starts as early as 6:00 AM during busy seasons or events Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently Self-motivated and able to stay productive without constant supervision Comfortable moving between dishwashing, prep, retail support, and bakery tasks Able to stand for 6+ hours Able to lift up to 40-50 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen and retail environment Ideal Candidate This role is best suited for someone who is dependable, practical, and willing to jump into whatever task needs to be done. We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping the bakery clean, organized, and running smoothly while supporting both the kitchen and retail sides of the business. An ideal candidate enjoys being part of a small food business, cares about quality, and appreciates naturally made baked goods, sourdough, and food made with local ingredients.
