Job Description

Dispatcher Position Summary Rowdy Resources is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispatcher to join our operations team on a full-time, year-round basis. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing pneumatic bulk operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant load delivery across all routes and customer locations. The Dispatcher will play a key role in daily fleet operations by managing driver schedules, coordinating pneumatic and dry bulk load movements, monitoring compliance, and maintaining strong communication between drivers, customers, and management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities and thrive in a fast-paced transportation environment. Previous experience in pneumatic hauling, dry bulk transportation, oilfield support, or related trucking operations is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Enter load information into the Transportation Management System (TMS) and effectively schedule and assign pneumatic and bulk loads. Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules while maximizing fleet efficiency and driver utilization. Review shipping and load documentation to ensure accuracy of load numbers, pickup and delivery locations, product details, and customer requirements. Monitor drivers' Hours of Service (HOS) logs to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Utilize Samsara vehicle tracking systems to monitor fleet activity, driver performance, route progress, and equipment utilization. Establish and maintain driver KPIs and operational performance standards. Maintain strong customer relationships through professional, timely, and solution-oriented communication. Assist management with driver-related matters including recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, discipline, vacation requests, and performance management. Communicate effectively with customers to address service requests, resolve operational concerns, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Coordinate with drivers and operations personnel regarding load changes, delays, equipment issues, and scheduling adjustments. Ensure proper organization, protection, and confidentiality of company records and operational files. Support operational efficiency by effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Requirements The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills: Knowledge of trucking operations, DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation industry standards. Previous experience in pneumatic hauling, dry bulk transportation, dispatch operations, or logistics coordination preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, multitasking, and time-management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment. Professional and positive attitude when interacting with drivers, customers, supervisors, and team members. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with drivers and staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, spreadsheets, email, word processing, and general computer applications. Experience with transportation management and electronic logging systems, including TMW, PeopleNet, Geotab, Samsara, or similar platforms, is considered an asset. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment. Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
