Job Description

Overview Seeking energetic, self-motivated problem solvers who have management skills and are willing to take on a hands-on management position with a successful and growing Distribution business. Managers will be employees whose duties consist of picking orders, restocking, loading and unloading of trucks, purchase order creation, order fulfillment, safe operation of hand tools and forklifts and management of warehouse staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supervise staff: train, develop and evaluate team member performance. Promote a positive work environment while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Inventory Control:
Manage inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, process damaged materials and optimize stock levels to ensure product availability and quick turns.
Purchasing:
Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and preparing POs for replenishment as required. Participate in order pulling, packing, shipping and receiving as needed. Oversee customer will-call counter and processing orders as needed. Assist with customer inquiries, creating quotes and sales orders when necessary. Ability to provide basic technical support at the counter a plus. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to foster sales growth. Complete shipping documents and process order fulfillment paperwork. Set a good example for employees. Comply with safety regulations and company safety policies. Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized and safe at all times. Report to management on sales goals, employee performance, inventory, and facility/equipment condition and maintenance. Experience:
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and locations. Dedication and proven performance of providing exceptional customer service and sales support. Experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a distribution environment. Strong understanding of order fulfillment, inventory and procurement management principles. Familiar with freight shipping & receiving processes. Ability to operate forklift and other materials handling equipment. Ability to prioritize daily responsibilities while maintaining order deadlines and inventory accuracy. Computer skills are a must. Acumatica and/or other ERP program experience is a plus. Door, Gate, Access Industry Experience a plus. Valid Driver's License. Bilingual English/Spanish language is a plus. Specific physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 150 pounds, and frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions (both weather and non-weather related) plus stooping kneeling, climbing, crouching or reaching.

From $36.50 per hour
