14015 - Distribution Design Engineer/Technician (onsite) - West Palm Beach, FL /

Work Setting:
100% of the time at the Client's site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration. Our Client is hiring a Technical services specialist (19607) Required Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Location (required); Experience in distribution design or electrical design (1-5 years) Experience working in utility or energy environment
Responsibilities :
Performs work order assessment and completes complex of designs to meet internal/external customer needs and valid company requirements Coordinates the planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects with other operating or engineering units to facilitate assignment completion Produces a resource estimate (e.g. man-hours, materials, work type) necessary to execute the work Evaluates distribution system capability to serve new load while understanding and mitigating potential future impacts of the new load Provides and maintains cost-effective design while considering the impact to the customer and valid customer requests Works with other department within the organization to establish customer requirements and project cost Prepares communications, conducts meetings, and implements improvement measures Please see below some more positions you may be interested in: Technical Specialist (19385)
Required:
Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in West Palm Beach, FL ; Experience with Distribution/Utility of Customer interactions and negotiations (3+years) Experience with integrity and compliance (3+ years) Experience with Electrical design Experience in design of the Distribution System, both in new construction and maintenance activities Experience in analysis and problem solving, commercial, communications, process/project management and leadership Electric Power Technology Certification Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or
High School Diploma/GED Preferred:
Master's Degree in related field of study
Responsibilities:
Perform work order assessments and complete complex distribution designs that meet internal and external requirements. Coordinate planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects with other operating or engineering units. Produce resource estimates, including man‑hours, materials, and work type needed to execute assigned work. Evaluate distribution system capability to serve new load and mitigate potential future system impacts. Provide and maintain cost‑effective distribution designs that balance customer needs and valid requests. Manage project activities including design, estimating, negotiations, performance tracking, and reporting. Oversee all aspects of engineering design and permitting while collaborating with internal departments to establish customer requirements and project costs. Why apply?
