This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a working knowledge of school district accounting practices. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position. QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
Accounting principles, practices, and terminology used in school district finance; Payroll processing and employee benefits administration; State and federal financial reporting requirements; Budgetary principles and procedures; Financial software systems, including QSS and Microsoft Office; Office procedures, practices, and equipment including 10-key operation; English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Ability to:
Prepare, maintain, and audit accurate financial and statistical records; Interpret and apply district, state, and federal financial regulations; Work independently with minimal supervision; Prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail; Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively; Operate standard office equipment and use software programs with proficiency; Communicate effectively and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers, vendors, and the public.
Education, Experience and Requirements:
Minimum two years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting, payroll, and/or financial recordkeeping. Experience in a public school district setting preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent; TB Test Clearance; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance. Comments and Other Information
