Join a Mission-Driven Team Making a Difference The Samoset Council of Scouting America is seeking a motivated and community-focused professional to serve as a District Executive based in Weston, Wisconsin. This position offers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, support volunteers, grow youth programs, and strengthen communities across Central Wisconsin. Scouting America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Our professional staff works alongside dedicated volunteers, community leaders, educators, and business partners to deliver impactful programs to youth and families. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary of $45,000 Mileage reimbursement at the current federal reimbursement rate Comprehensive health and dental insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution Paid vacation and holidays Professional development and training opportunities Expense reimbursement for approved business travel Position Responsibilities Working with volunteer leaders, community organizations, schools, and businesses to strengthen youth-serving programs. Recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers. Growing membership and participation in Scouting programs. Coordinating fundraising efforts and supporting Friends of Scouting campaigns. Supporting local events, activities, and leadership development programs. Building relationships with civic, educational, religious, and community organizations. Assisting with marketing and community outreach initiatives. Ensuring quality service and communication to volunteers and community partners Supporting camp promotions and council-wide initiatives. Managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Desired Skills & Qualifications Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Comfort with public speaking and community engagement. Professionalism, creativity, and initiative. Experience in nonprofit work, fundraising, sales, marketing, education, or community engagement is helpful. A passion for youth development and community impact. Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required. Ability to travel for training and council events. Scouting background is helpful but not required. Employment is contingent upon successful background checks. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position includes both office and field work.
