The District Finance and Data Assistant will hold a high school diploma or equivalent. A basic understanding of accounting principles and practices is required. The candidate must also demonstrate proficiency with technology systems, the ability to learn district software platforms, and an understanding of internal controls, checks and balances, and accurate financial recordkeeping procedures.Length of Contract:

The District Finance and Data Assistant is responsible for accurately completing and recording financial transactions within the district activity account. Additional tasks could include district Power School support and data entry.Specific Job Functions:
Management of accounts payable and receivables for district Activity Fund. Must possess strong technology skills and the ability to learn new skills, specifically to support Software Unlimited & Power School Programs. Prepare and process paperwork necessary for billing and paying invoices in the Activity Fund. Compile reports as scheduled or requested by the Finance/Business Manager or Administrator. Contact vendors as needed to check the status of orders. Must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and produce error-free work. Communicate and work well with others in collaboration and resolving discrepancies. Analyze financial data and identify potential issues. Follow established internal controls, checks and balances, and audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting, data integrity, and compliance with district practices. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and capable of maintaining sensitive information securely, including confidentiality of student, staff, financial, and district records. Maintain the secure district safe, including cash, deposits, and other regulated materials. Prepare start-up cash boxes for all district events requiring cash handling (athletics, fine arts, Trojan Zone, concessions, fundraisers, book fairs, dances, etc. Other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:
